Hi everyone, long time no see.

Those who follow me on facebook probably remember the WIPs I posted this week....here is the final result of a painting I recently started.

This is a personal version of Smaug, the mighty dragon living in the Lonely mountains, right above Esgaroth and Long lake in the book "the Hobbit" written by Tolkien . I wanted to draw it before the Peter Jackson's movie's version is released.
I know it doesn't fit exactly the description, especially about the "armor" thing and his skin like jewels but I wanted my Smaug to be more "animal"-like... I wanted to highlight the wild beast. I hope you like it though.

oui, je ne sais pas si ça colle bien à l'intelligence de la créature décrite d'habitude, là il a un côté beaucoup plus animal
