where to start ?

Here's Samara, one of my favorite character in Mass Effect 2...and Mass Effect 3 just broke my heart.
I LOVE HER ... not in the way "I want to rip your clothes and go full lesbian with you" (that's for Liara !) ... But more like "please adopt me, I love you, be my mommy, teach me how to be a badass"
She's such a complex and interesting character, you should really try to be paragon when you play so you get to know more about her (and read the files in the Shadow Broker's lair !).

You guys should totally follow Rana McNear [link] who's the face of Samara and morinth. it is so so so so aweome to see someone so devoted to this character. She really brings her to life.

:skull: Mass Effect 3 spoiler :skull:

Why I loved her even more after ME3 ?

The mission in the monastery.

Several times during the mission, I noticed two things from Samara. The first is that, at times, she was unusually quiet. This is her mission, and these are her daughters, so she has a professional and personal investment in the situation. I took this to indicate that she was enduring a huge amount of emotional agony. The other, is that I noticed that she would pause in her sentences.
Her emotions are showing through, but she composes herself.

Outside the monastery, I was completely surprised by Samara's actions.
She wanted to kill herself, so that she wouldn't have to kill her only remaining daughter.
In Samara's interpretation of the Code, this was her last resort...it just killed me. I was so taken aback ! I'm still crying ...

Samara deserved more, particularly in ME3.
Call me crazy but her and Shepard getting together makes a lot of sense to me.

As for the picture itself, its really damn nice, good lighting, nice scene. The fact she's alone with no kind of surroundings makes me think that she feels alone, which i thought she did in the games too. But i did like her little near romance, it made you feel there was actually a woman behind the stoic mask and rigid sutras.

Yeah she deserved more...I wish she could stay a bit longer with us on the Normandy....but I understand that the developers needed her gone. I mean that we already had an asari (full biotic) with us.

About the romance, even if part of me really wanted to kiss her, I'm actually glad it never happened. We got to see a slight glimpse of who she is but to me, she's kind of person I love to love.
I know it's weird but I have crushes on people, even inappropriate thoughts about them but I like keeping this idealistic vision of them...the "purity of my love". It's not platonic, it's a bit more complicated to explain in English...

Aaaanyway, i'm glad you like my drawing.

Out of the crew who leave, Samara is one of the few who makes sense, she does say she'll leave afterwards.
As for full biotics, she's more like a commando, at least she can use assault rifles, Liara cannot, despite cutscene power.

Nah i liked that scene, even how it ended, i did it in every playthrough after all. But she was completely ditched as an LI option in ME3, which disappointed me greatly. Its probably the third biggest thing about me3 that disappointed me.

I know what you mean, but any kind of romantic love isn't exactly 'pure'. I know having any kind of feelings for a videogame character is a bit odd, but i really liked Samara as a character, although her outfit is a bit impractical. But i found her the most interesting, she's a mother, a warrior monk-ish kind of person who lives her whole life by a code but does not choose to pursue a romantic relationship(although sorely tempted) and is willing to commit suicide for her daughter. But in a way i think she and Shepard would be kindred spirits. Paragon Shep anyway.

But then again, if they had made her an LI, she would have received the same bad treatment the rest got...sooo there is that.
